(bug): saves do not stick after refresh for new accounts

Summary

Edits to channel page do not stick after refresh.

Steps to reproduce

Create new account;
Click edit button;
Edit bio;
Click save;
Refresh

Platform information

Windows 10, FireFox, Chrome, Opera. Appears to be browser independent
