Some in Idlib think they need to literally charge the border and attempt to dismantle the fortification to bring attention to their desperate situation. Others think the protest must remain non-confrontational. Either way, HTS has tight control over the border area.

The 3 million people in Idlib are essentially in a holding pen under intense indiscriminate airstrikes. Turkey has closed its borders (after generously admitting 3.6 million refugees). Turkish border guards now shoot at, deport & torture Syrians attempting to cross.

Erdogan doesn’t have the balls to even send a slight military message to Russia and it’s sad. Russia only understand lines in the sand with force. Perfect example is they haven’t tried to cross the river again since around 50-100 were killed by the coalition. Force works.

I thought it was 300 killed, or maybe 400?

Yeah most estimates were around 200-300 I was just being generous

And yet open source sleuths have scoured SM posts of Wagner and ex-Wagner and Russian military and their families and can only find six or seven names. Even Ha’Aretz could only find six. I get the feeling that we’ve been lied to.
