There's a good chance Russia would stop if it was faced with a robust US response, but who's gonna sweat over underclass Syrians? The world has considered these people as expendable for a decade, it's not gonna chance now.

Iam watching this series which depicts how Ba’ath state started nationalising Sufi ulamas in early 90s along with other opposed groups such as socialist activists. The problem of this story is that it depicts the state as neutral, forgiving n welcoming 2all!

What a shameful response from on It is about not only failing humanity or Syrians but directly playing part in prolonging conflict, forcing ppl2 be trapped in violent extremism. It is injustice, despotism lack of accountability that fuel terrorism (most cases)

A shift in politicised tone this year from last year in Instead of calling 4 peace through reaching out to presidents like ,this year song depicts peace in accepting the other (from different sect/religion) Again use of cultural narrative 2 desectarianise region

Again we see 'robustness of authoritarianism' in when even transition to democracy can only be achieved through the military!

No it is not about patriotism, it is about survival of the army in countries that still perpetuate the idea that ppl need a saviour. This saviour is an army or a leading family like or a tribe! 3

Syrians are looking at Algeria with fondness lamenting n questioning why the Syrian army was willing to kill n stand with rather the people. They think this is about whether the army is patriot or not 2
