    Charles and I quite strongly disagree on several points of both nuance and substance and yet somehow we're able to talk through it and disagree without being dicks to each other. Apropos of nothing of course.

    This is an interesting thread on military dynamics vis-a-vis NW , which is well worth reading. Personally though, I'm less convinced of 's capacity to roll over…

    This is a truly excellent and impressive analysis of the Syrian rebels’ operational competence and fighting abilities, but also of the strategic futility of their efforts given superior Assad/Russian airpower and firepower.

    Hey google, every major military but the US has light units equipped with antitank weapons that can punch way above their weight in restricted terrain. Should the US Army stand up SFABs and design new dress uniforms?
