Turkish govt is seeking my extradition from UK. I am British citizen, born & raised here. Charge? Propaganda & membership of terrorist org. Home Office certified request. Was arrested, cuffed, held in cell etc. I am deeply offended. Freed speech? No there is a cost.

I'm appalled by the acquiescence of the British authorities in the face of politically-motivated and legally groundless demand of Ankara govt. A human rights activist, an academic (a British citizen) is arrested and handcuffed just because Ankara said so. Unbelievable.

Unbelievable! Not Erdogan's extradition demand but UK government's allowing the case to proceed to the court...Very disappointing...Turkey seeks extradition of UK barrister over Twitter activity

Yet another ordinary day in Erdogan’s Turkey. Kurds were detained, handcuffed behind the back and forced to lie face downwards on the ground by police in Urfa province.

How could this happen in UK, of all places? Even here, Trump-era US, there is a public outrage when Trump administration is trying to send back people who enter US illegally from South border. You were born in UK, have UK citizenship and they are doing this? Who can we write to?

Dear please see below. Can you please correct this. I did not "deny being a participant of the Gulen movement". I merely denied being a member/propagator of an armed terrorist organisation. Ahval piece suggests I denied the former. Thank you

I just realised that I lost all my Twitter followers. I had de-activated my account but would regularly re/de-activate to ensure that I did not lose all my followers. "Dang it" as my son says :/

Home Office has to certify whether extradition requests from category 2 territories (like Turkey) are valid. So here the Home Office has rubber stamped the request on the basis of alleged membership to a group the Home Office does not recognise as a terrorist organisation.

A reminder that the long arm of Turkey that is persecuting me here in the UK continues to do so, and of course far worse, to those still living in Turkey to all category of people.

Unbelievable! I had no idea that you went through this. Shame on UK authorities for taking claims of a dictatorship seriously probably in order not to lose political-economic gains.
