It's been an ongoing problem in the trans community with people targeted by TERFs who run mass-reporting groups, often using group DM, or off-site in Facebook groups. They're trying to get trans people and allies suspended by hammering us with reports, it's an organised effort.
They do this to strip us of support and community, while at the same time chill the speech of others daring to speak out against them.
It doesn't help your cause much though to incite hate and possible violence back. Turns people into hypocrites. Best thing to do is literally ignore them. Give it no attention and in turn they lose a platform and recognition. Then they have nothing to gain nor any power.
Deplatforming works so long as it is active deplatforming so ignoring them doesn't work , what does work is refusing them a microphone PRO ACTIVELY and PRO ACTIVELY SAYING that you refuse them a mircophone .
I don't like the idea of refusing them the microphone. The idea of silencing groups you disagree with is pretty radical and against the ideals of a free society. Either everyone gets to speak freely or nobody does. Censorship solves nothing. Ignore them and don't give attention.
