Amnesty on the verge of going bankrupt because of mobbing, staff mistreatment, hypocrisy and financial crisis despite growing number of volunteers worldwide.

And while we are at it, Turkey regularly burn forests in Kurdish areas, so if AI decides to focus on environmental issues I hope you will be better to cover this than Greenpeace was when you worked there.. I hope you have a nice weekend and sack 50% of your staff next week 😘

Hey , if you need arguments for why AI should move away from research-led human rights investigations you can always use the Kurdish issue as an example. I mean, you completely suck at research led investigations anyway, so focus on things you might become good at..

Turkish nationalist/Kemalist logic: “The genocide didn’t happen but we will kill you for trying to speak out about it..”

Raqqa, "The Most Devastated City of Modern Times" Oh wait, my mistake, these are Kurdish cities destroyed by Turkey for voting the wrong way. Presumably they don't count, and that's why there's still no international outcry from Human Rights organisations.

Amnesty on Turkey’s invasion & occupation of Afrin: 🍂 Amnesty on political imprisonment by Turkey of elected Kurdish politicians: 🍂 Amnesty on widely-documented torture & isolation in Turkish prisons: 🍂 Amnesty on [fictional] human rights abuses in a superhero film: 😱✍🏽✍🏽

Try to find a useful report from Amnesty about the ethnic cleansing of Kurds in Syria or Turkey. Try to find some satellite images or useful data. You won’t. Not because the crimes aren’t there, it’s because Amnesty don’t cover Kurds seriously (unless they can accuse Kurds).

The answer is simple. When it comes to war crimes and human rights abuses against Kurds, especially if committed by Turkey, Amnesty is deliberately ignorant. Both in substance and coverage. They don’t waste any serious resources to collect data about crimes against Kurds.

Compare the report about Raqqa with the article they felt forced to write about the Kurdish towns. If I can get hands on satellite images I’m sure Amnesty can so too. Hell, they even made sure to get sat image of that Arab village. So why couldn’t they do it for Kurdish towns?

Language is important. Amnesty accused YPG for ethnic cleansing after one Arab village been destroyed in the war. So a single village was enough for Amnesty to use “ethnic cleansing” in opposite to several Kurdish towns destroyed by Turkey to be described as “brutal crackdown”.

I mean, months after after Turkey had finished the demolition of several Kurdish towns in Turkey and forced up to half a million of Kurds to leave, Amnesty released a single statement describing it as a “brutal crackdown”. Look at the pictures:

I mean, Amnesty didn’t investigate or even make any statements despite several videos showing Turkish executions and beheadings of guerillas. Amnesty wouldn’t recognize a war crime carried out by Turkey against Kurds even if it hit their face.

try to frame the peaceful protest as violent (it was clearly peaceful). A funny part is however how Amnesty try to put blame on Kurds by saying that the protest stops AI from doing HR-work. Well, Kurds haven’t seen any serious HR-work by them, so it can’t get worse.

The statement by on the peaceful protest in their London office reminds me of stance on demolished Kurdish towns in Turkey. AI now made statement re: hunger strikes, but only to state they can’t make a report about on hunger strikes for some bogus reasons..

During police attacks at , this filth on the right has been swearing at protestors in Turkish. It's no surprise that the Met think it's appropriate to send a Turkish fascist to attack Kurdish refugees, but Amnesty are complicit too.

A shameful episode for as they use police to physically remove peaceful protestors who occupied their offices because of continued inaction on human rights abuses. This was after two hunger strikers were hospitalised after being denied their basic needs. Disgraceful.

successfully cleared protestors their lobby last night with the help of Turkish fascists employed by the Met. Seasoned activists who were present are shocked at the level of aggression and racism, even from the Met.
