final thought: i spent a very long time in my head about this. perhaps the only silver lining to my failing to saying anything sooner is that it allowed me time to establish strength in my convictions. i wasn't pressured or manipulated and all i can ask is to please respect that.

We've got actual registered sex offenders like Growly going to events and lurking con telegram chats for cons he isn't even going to and *a certain dealer* who is free to deal at every con nbd. The ones blowing you up are just the usual mob who don't actually want to fix things
-
Some random crawled into my DMs after I posted pictures with you at FC and I'm just like... Are we seriously witch hunting this dude when there's ACTUAL REGISTERED SEX OFFENDERS roaming free. Social media values the "we got em" moment more than actually pruning out pedos etc
-
*obligatory "Yikes" comment for actually being rational*
-
I'm not popular enough to warrant people trying to "cancel" me so I like to lash out whenever I can :3

You should never apologize for something that was not a bad in the first place. You're a victim of irrational misplaced feelings on a unrelated issue with famous artist being exposed as predators. Dont ever let someone tell you who you are

Personally, I have no problem with cub art. There’s no good reason for the fandom to call out people who enjoy, make, and/or have commissioned cub art. These purges are part of a vain attempt to make the fandom look better to non-furries. Why should we care what they think of us?
-
Ive always thought of cub art as representing your cub headspace. Kinda like how pups have head space too. If ppl wanna act and represent themselves as that young go for it. Just make sure its only with adults.

so while i'm glad that you did this and recognize this, and i accept this apology fully. The replies immediately following are... concerning. I'm probably gunna continue to "avoid" you simply because of the... audience you seem to have :/
-
what in the world are these replies to you... feels so disrespectful of the journey you went on and through, ignoring what you had to deal with. some defending the action... what in the world...? I really hope this issue misses you if you're true, cause this is dumb...
-
same here, it almost makes it feel like half of his remaining fanbase consists of cub apologists :/

I'm glad that you're taking action and actually talking about it now. Your message seems genuine and I want to believe that people can change for the better. That said, all of the cub apologists in the comments are still rather disturbing. I know you can't control that but YIKES
-
Yeah the replies in this thread are terrible
-
I'm like borderline ready to withdraw my previous statement because of them tbh

Apologies should also be accompanied by taking action going forward (e.g. deleting all your NSFW cub art, taking a stance against it, etc), and a sincere willingness to change. That being said, I'm glad you listened and reflected.
-
I also want to make it clear that by "NSFW cub art", I mean cub porn People seem to be apologizing for cub porn in the replies here because they "don't see anything wrong with cub art" This is a dangerous equivocation of the terms involved, so I just wanna make my stance clear
