4/11/19 - Site Policies Updated

By Fender, 2 weeks ago
We have made several small updates to Fur Affinity’s policies. The changes we’ve made are outlined below in italics and bold.

If you have questions or concerns about any of the policy changes please open a ticket under Site Policy. We'll be happy to answer your questions regarding the changes.

Terms of Service

Terms of Service 3.4
Shortened policy to: You agree to not transfer your account ownership to another user.

Terms of Service 3.7
Shortened policy to: You agree that we reserve the right to remove, reclaim, or rename any account for any reason.

Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct 2.1 Do not share or try to obtain private information.
This includes attempting to obtain through deception or posting privileged/personal information of other individuals or businesses, such as social security numbers, unlisted contact information, addresses, credit card numbers, and correspondence (logs, emails, notes, etc).

Code of Conduct 2.4 - Do not harass anyone.
In this context, harassment includes creating an account with an offensive name, impersonation of another user, and remarks which discuss personal grievances, quarrels, malicious rumors, negative statements about, or purposefully misgendering or deadnaming other individuals. This does not include civil discussions about topics of public interest such as celebrities or government officials, but does include 'bewares' and similar content.

Any attempt to address a user who has blocked you or whom you have blocked is considered a form of deliberate harassment. This also includes soliciting other users to pass on messages or otherwise make contact on your behalf.

If a particular type of content does not appeal to you, then do not seek it out to make disparaging comments. Users with a pattern of this behavior may be cited for harassment.

Code of Conduct 3.3 - Do not post links to content prohibited by Fur Affinity's policies
If you are not permitted to upload or discuss the content on Fur Affinity, then do not link to it, tell users how to find it, or encourage users to seek it out elsewhere. Violating this rule may also result in citation under the site rule the content violates.

Upload Policy

Upload Policy 1.2 - Submission Detail
Keywords, Ratings, Categories, Themes, and Species are used to define images as they appear in Fur Affinity's search engine. Abuse of these (misleading, inaccurate, or false) is prohibited. This does not apply to the Gender section. Submission file type should correspond to submission type. Intentionally listing inaccurate keywords in the description is not permitted.

Upload Policy 2.1 - Reminders
Submissions used to remind users of content for sale are permitted. The rating of the reminder must be the same as the original submission according to our guidelines (AUP Section 1.1). Reminders may be removed and reposted only after 4 hours have elapsed and may not be reposted on other accounts you own. Reminders must still comply with all other policies, such as Section 2.9 - Duplicate Content.

Upload Policy 2.2 - Selling
Goods being sold through submissions may only be user-created or handcrafted items. The submission rating must reflect the final product.

Upload Policy 2.7 - Content Involving Minors
Content featuring minors is prohibited when the minor is in the presence of sexual activity or nudity, though exceptions may be made for non-sexual depictions of birth and breastfeeding. Presence is defined as being in the same scene, such as sharing a comic panel, contiguous image, reference sheet, or specific section of a story where characters are engaging each other. Minors may not have detailed bulges or outlines of normal or hyper genitalia, clothed or otherwise. Minors are real or fictional humanoids with a childlike body or younger than 18 years old, and any adolescent animals.

Upload Policy 4.2 - Content Creators
This policy has been removed, and we will now allow content made by character creators to be uploaded. Items which would be prohibited by 4.1 have not changed.

Other

Minor wording changes to policies to make terms gender neutral.

EDIT 4/16/2019
* We made a minor change to Code of Conduct 2.1 for additional clarification (reflecting that this can apply to both individuals and businesses).
