This area has seen the most anti-TSK/TFSA attacks throughout the Afrin insurgency, particularly by the YPG (Mar - Dec) and HRE (Dec - present). (map by )

A map shared on a pro-opposition Telegram channel showing the Afrin-Shahba front lines and a wall being constructed in the town of Jalbul. Despite recent rumors, the wall will not separate Afrin from Idlib, but rather attempt to stem insurgent attacks in the area.

The thing with this “new” Armenian tabur is that it’s actually not all that new a phenomenon—especially given its affiliation to TiKKO (TKP/ML) rather than SDF directly, it continues on Turk-Kurd-Armenian radical leftist collaboration as was seen in Lebanon during the civil war.

Absolutely pathetic. Just because the Right’s memes about global Christian oppression are clearly BS attempts to paint themselves as victims does not AT ALL mean that Christians are not targeted for their faith in other parts of the world. Avoiding saying it is disgusting

    8. With this attack, the target selection doesn’t seem to point to Buddhist extremists (not sure what they would get out of killing tourists).

    7. There have been rumours of Muslims in the country being radicalized and groups being funded by KSA/gulf states since at least the early 90s (including the group that is being linked to this attack). And it has been used as an excuse to preemptively attack Muslim communities

    1) One of the church suicide bombers is reportedly Zahran Hashim. In late 2017 I did some research on pro-Islamic State Sri Lanken Facebook accounts. His was one of the accounts I looked at, where he was a self styled 'Islamic Preacher' who held some pro-IS views.
