Young man you need to learn the Japanese way You earn there respect
I’m very familiar with the Japanese way. It doesn’t require respect to accurately do the job you’re paid to do. This isn’t just happening in Japan it’s happening in all of baseball.
Was it a strike? 100% but would you put Ted Barrett or any big league umpire on blast if this happened in big leagues? If you would then I apologize. But I was watching and definitely thought it was a strike and thought you handled yourself very well.
I wouldn’t have to but MLB umpires on blast. Managers are allowed to have players’ backs and the MLB has an accountability system to keep umpires honest. NPB doesn’t have this and allows umpires to get away with too much, thus hurting the players and league.
Not to mention having pitch FX on live broadcasting and the mass coverage of sports broadcasting puts umpires on blast enough in the MLB. But if I had to, then yes I would for the betterment of the league.
