Calls like this affect game outcomes way too often. Umpiring needs to be better, period! With no accountability it only hurts the league. And they wonder why players want electronic strike zones 🤔pic.twitter.com/215FlgqFqy

I’m very familiar with the Japanese way. It doesn’t require respect to accurately do the job you’re paid to do. This isn’t just happening in Japan it’s happening in all of baseball.

There shouldn’t be a “Japanese way” in umpiring baseball. It’s a game with a set a rules. Blows my mind this is still an issue. This is our fourth country to play in and the first time we’ve had to “earn respect” for an umpire to follow the rule book and not play bias.

In my opinion, I don’t think it’s much of a foreigner thing, but more like the ump just biased towards the offensive team in the bottom 10th cuz he wanted to go home. They tend to do that, and it’s not the first time I’ve seen it. It’s a problem either way though.

It's actually scientifically and statically proven as well. No jokes.

The fact that the calls are hard on the foreigners, or the fact that the calls get sloppy in extra innings

Mr. Brazell, I know what you mean but There should not be that "THE JAPANESE WAY"...I think. Not only baseball, the world of sports must be fair.

No disrespect to you Craig, but if you mean the respect from fans, we appreciate every bit of his effort along with his awesome family (at least that’s what I believe). If you mean the respect of the umps, well, that’s up for debate.
