Does this work on Windows 10?
Im sure im not the only one that would apreciate a "how to" cause if you google "windows xp sounds to windows 10" all you get is startup and loggoff etc.
Many sounds from this XP pack to 10 are identically named. From the 'system sounds' panel you can replace sounds, and also check to 'enable system startup'. Changing this startup sound to XP's equivalent seems to be most awkward, as it may not be located in the windows media folder, and a window's update may reset it back to default (tenforums have a guide on how to change it).
Some users have reported not getting any sound changes to work at all, or not hearing a change until using a full shutdown (holding down shift and hitting shutdown) after disabling fast-startup (control panel>power options>choose what the power options do>change settings).
Others have gone as far as using a registry, creating a custom script tweak and restarting, or giving up.
The registry settings to enable some options in 'system sounds' that might be missing are at 'Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\EventLabels'. For example for WindowsLogoff, WindowsLogon or SystemExit .. change 'excludefromCPL' to '0'.. but don't change anything else
ERROR ERROR ERROR
Edit: Oh, okay, I thought it was just saying how to get there... There's sounds in the compressed folder.
