⚠️
Parse Grotesk was previously known as Dita Grotesk.
A playfully quirky monospace grotesque font, that’s sober enough to be used everyday in your code editor.
Just the right amount of whimsical curves, and a careful measure of staid solemnity.
While it was primarily conceived to be used inside a IDE or a code editor, Parse still lends itself to many other applications, such as data vizualization and even app interfaces.
So, go on— give it a whirl!

Parse Grotesk Mono began as a simple experiment trying to replace the primary font for my IDE. I have tried pretty much most of the monospace typefaces available out there, and was not completely satisfied with any of them.
I needed something that wasn’t boring to look at all day. I needed something with a pinch of flair, a dash of character, and Parse was born. It works great with both dark and light IDE themes, and has great legibility at small sizes.

400 Regular — 12pt
A monospaced font, also called a fixed-pitch, fixed-width, or non-propor
Monospaced fonts are customary on typewriters and for typesetting computer code. Monospaced fonts were widely used in early computers and computer terminals, which often had extremely limited graphical capabilities.
Hardware implementation was simplified by using a text mode where the screen layout was addressed as a regular grid of tiles, each of which could be set to display a character by indexing into the hardware's character map. Some systems allowed colored text to be displayed by varying the foreground and background color for each tile. Other effects included reverse video and blinking text. Nevertheless, these early systems were typically limited to a single console font. Even though computers can now display a wide variety of fonts, the majority of IDEs and software text editors employ a monospaced font as the default typeface.
