PSA for everyone now that this Pro-Assad channel of misinformation's Libya account is getting attention: SMM tries to disguise itself as a reasonable reporting organisation, but it's no better than al-Masdar in its spreading of Russian-line propaganda, be it Assad of Haftar

The US and UN used the phrase countless times re: Assad/Syria as if repeating the empty phrase time after time may make their wish magically come true. Then Assad created a military solution with help of Iran & Russia - and hesitance of global powers to intervene.

Algeria, Libya, Sudan. Three massive stories with a direct impact on EU border policy, yet outside of France, Spain, Malta and Italy the amount of attention paid to these crises is remarkably low.

Also important 's point likening Haftar's LNA to a Ponzi scheme: "Keeping the LNA functional requires continuous expansion and income... [Haftar's] forces are overextended, his finances stretched, and... may be more fragile than many realise."

is a soldier, not a politician. He is convinced that the solution is military. Politically speaking, he was in a decent position 2 wks ago w/ respect to a brand-new, more pro-Haftar —but that wasn’t enough for him. “He aspires to total victory.” I speak to

Differences between FTO and E.O. 13224 authorities. FTO more restrictive, i.e. can impose immigration restriction just for being a member of the IRGC.

Before the US designated the IRGC pursuant to Executive Order 13224 for terrorism, IRGC commanders made several threats. A top commander said US would have to empty its bases. The IRGC did not retaliate. Unlikely it would do so after this.

  21. This is scary. It is so naive to downplay the danger of Houthis mass indoctrination of Yemenis. And no they are no freedom fighters, not aggrieved minority. None of this. They r a racist, violent extremist group driven by ideology more than anything.
