Yeah. We’re back online. I thought I was done with OwO but after realizing that the person impersonating me (Imposter: @Indigobang1) had begun stalking me on my personal even after I had killed OwO and gone away I figured the best course of action was to re-open OwO….yet again….because there’s no escape from that level of weaponized stupidity and hatred.
HOWEVER I will be putting OwO on Hiatus while I’m preparing to move. This is a relatively large move and will take many days all on its own just to do the move let alone pack and I can’t focus on OwO and the move at the same time without my mental health drastically suffering.
When will OwO be back then?: Some time later this year after June / July.
I’ll be releasing the Doc Wolverine interview sometime before that and will TRY to re-post the old interviews I held with other people before that. (The old ones wont have as many frills and will be just the questions and answers I received with very little flair if any but the Doc Wolverine interview will still have the frills I normally give an interview to make it more interesting to read.)
Please stay tuned for when OwO returns some time later this year.
What we will cover then? We’ll be returning to the original setup for OwO. Interviews with interesting people, entertainment reviews, educational pieces, and opinion pieces.
And to those of you confused as to why OwO would switch to entertainment content instead of dealing with furry drama and investigations.
This was always what OwO was supposed to be.
We were never supposed to deal with any furry drama or start any investigations into companies / people. This was always supposed to be just an entertainment magazine. But when I saw that Bad Dragon still sells a toy designed by Jasonafex that while named different is just his characters dick,(The Dexter) I started looking for more things to talk about other then just Jason’s dildo being an issue.
I didn’t know what I was getting myself into and dealt with far more bullshit then I’m capable of handling all at once. Discovering how bad BD was changed my view of a lot of things and made me reckless in how I was handling the investigation. I began making mistakes due to stress and eventually I handed the investigation to someone else who I believed could handle the investigation better then I could. Little did I know that BD’s bullshit would be so bad it would also break the person I handed the investigation over to and they too would begin to make mistakes.
I am truly sorry to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed. I only wanted to do good but am aware I wasn’t very good at what I was trying to accomplish. That is why OwO will be returning to what it was always meant to be; a furry entertainment and education magazine.
Thank you for reading.

The Bad Dragon Expose. Part 1.
This is a backup location for an archive of part 1 of the Bad Dragon expose done by @KindKabsCorner after I handed off the investigation to them a few weeks ago. I am posting this archive here so people may see it and have it in case KindKabs gets their account taken down. Spread the word. #BadDragonIsCancelled. More to come.

MENTAL HEALTH: The Furry Community and Society.
Author: Rain Corren.
While most research is dedicated to mainstream fan groups such as sports fans rather than minority fan groups, there are striking similarities. People join fan groups in order to feel like the belong to a community. This helps raise self-esteem, provide a kinship with other people and gives a person a sense of place in the world (Reysen, Plante, Roberts & Gerbasi, 2016). While there is a need to belong to a group, there is also a need to feel like an individual in that group. Those who belong to the Furry community do so by forming friendships and assimilating into the group while creating distinct and individual personas to stand out and be recognized as an individual.
Currently, many media driven articles about the community label furries as “sexual deviants” and “freaks”. This can lead to clients who see therapists, counselors or other individuals for their health to hide this important aspect of their lives out of fear for judgement (Roberts, Plante, Gerbasi, Reysen, 2015). An article posted by the Times – Colonist (2017) made this clear and tried to help dispel these myths with quotes from Courtney Plante who wrote an article about them in Psychology Today. It is becoming more widely known by researchers that the community is not as different as people think. The community is now being seen as less of a deviant community and being more compared with sports fans. Instead of jerseys and face paint, we wear fursuits the represent a fursona (Gutierrez, 2017).
This new identity of the Furry Community is important because the fear of judgement by others can lead to those who identify as furries to feel like their interests are inferior and can lower self-esteem (Roberts, Plante, Gerbasi, Reysen, 2015). This can also keep people from feeling completely themselves around others and can lead to isolation. This isolation can lead to mental health problems such as depression and can keep those who are a part of the community from seeking help in crises (Roberts, Plante, Gerbasi, Reysen, 2015). By opening the community up and painting it in a positive light, society can begin to accept that being a furry is not a mental health problem in of itself.
Talking from a personal experience with this, I have many friends that do not know I am a furry because I know their feelings on the subject. There are people out there who do not accept the community and it is possible they never will. However, I do know people that are very accepting of the community and are not a part of it. I’ve watched as they awe at the creativity of the community and see the interconnectedness of the groups. It is important that more of society see the community in this light. Beyond the feeling of acceptance, young adolescence and adults alike will mentally benefit from it. Not having the label of “freak” attached to your interests.
As more research is being done of the furry community as an in-group and a “Fan group”, the unfair bias of labeling all furries as sexual deviants and other misunderstandings that have been driven by those who don’t understand (Reysen, Plante, Roberts & Gerbasi, 2016). While there are problems in the Furry Community like there are in many fan groups, it is important that researchers and the media paint the majority of the community in a positive light. Instead of placing the label of “Freaks”, they need to emphasize on the creativity of the artists and fan base, or on the charity events and money raised at them.

OwO What’s News!? tried to contact Bad Dragon back in December and Varka in early January for a statement but after a long period of time we never received a response from either so we must move forward with this article without one. If Varka or Bad Dragon wishes to contact me for a statement please by all means do so on twitter @Indigobang1 or @owo_news
Please note that it remains to be seen whether Bad Dragon themselves is guilty of any wrong doings but this most certainly does bring up some questions. Also, if you or someone you know works for Bad Dragon, PLEASE get in touch with me as I would like to hear your statement on the allegations people have leveled against your company, that way one way or another we can have all of this settled.
