So you would rather watch a loved one suffer, even if faced with a terminal illness? For their suffering only to mean meaningless pain? That's cruel. If they are clear minded about their decision, then in the end it's their decision, and if you loved them you would understand.
-
Don’t play on emotions, mate. That doesn’t work on me. And suffering like that does have meaning. Suicide is never, and should never be, an option.
-
You're literally saying this on a thread started by a guy that's probably going to have to make this choice dude. Look at what Dogbomb has been tweeting about and please reconsider saying things like this.
-
I realize his decision. But that’s what I believe. And I’m just stating it.
-
As someone who has lost a loved one to a long illness, I know what it's like to be helpless and see this happen. My wife spent years in pain before she passed and it has affected me in many ways, knowing she could have chosen not to suffer.
-
Maybe there was a reason she chose to go that way. She valued her life. Also, keep on track with your argument. Not personal experiences. I’m sorry to hear that though.
-
Wow...You are being absolutely unnecessary.

It’s absolutely sickening that you think this man should have to live in pain and waste away because you think assisted suicide “isn’t an option”. So incredibly apathetic.
-
Calm down... check out Dogbomb’s reply. Don’t freak out. I simply stated my belief and it’s my belief that suicide should never be an option.
-
You can get out of here with that “calm down” because I won’t. He said a healthy body, if you know how to read. You’re fine to state your belief. I’m not stopping you from doing that. However, this is a public platform and I can criticize your viewpoint all I want.

So what you're saying is if someone is in so much pain, yet could take years to die, costing them and their families thousands in medical bills, that they should just not die on their terms?

Reread my other messages and see for yourself.

Because I see it in your profile, not everyone believes suicide is a mortal sin, my dude. We give our pets more dignity then we do our loved ones when the time comes. I also refuse to believe that any loving God would willingly want their children to suffer needlessly.
-
This. How is it ok to find out Fido has cancer, or kidney failure, or any other fatal issue and it's "humane" to put him to sleep compared to being in more and more pain every day until nature takes over. But our loved ones we just continue to give morphine and lorazapam too?
