Labour used to be the party fighting hatred with minorities. Not any more for Jews. In the past few years it’s changed beyond recognition. Here are some stats: https://twitter.com/rachelrileyrr/status/1102849033847095296?s=21 … And here’s a video Labour’s last PM Gordon Brown put out this week:https://twitter.com/rachelrileyrr/status/1112943938435010561?s=21 …

Negro what?! It's a yikes from me.
-
Yep. It’s a term I wouldn’t use. But google shows its more mainstream than anti-blackness.
-
Let me assure you, it isn't, and it's telling that you're suggesting a black woman use a descriptor with a literal racial slur in it. Let me also take the opportunity to say to you that the current character assassination of Jude is unfounded and unwarranted.
-
It’s no different. I’m not suggesting she use *anything*. I’m just saying she’s game playing and it’s very easy to change that. She needs to stop
-
Why do you insist on telling on yourself? Jude is not the one playing games here. Stop. Do better, be better.
-
I hate these rhetoric games that divert the real issue. Jude’s original point is being diluted by these lexical shaningans. As Jude pointed out right at the start, if you’re against racism, you need to stand against it in all its shades.
-
And she decided to attack another anti-racist who is Jewish. Her point was to use anti-Blackness to shame
@RachelRileyRR, when we all know it’s an academic term barely hitting the mainstream. -
As you say we should all be showing each other solidarity. Particularly now
@UKLabour is ridden w#antisemitism and#NationslAction has been exposed. End of conversation

Idk who the term "negrophobia" is more common among but it ain't black people bruh loool.
-
It’s the same as anti-blackness. https://www.jstor.org/stable/j.ctt9qfpg3 …
-
I gathered. Maybe leave black people to speak of their experiences however they choose? It's unfortunate that this has descended into personal attacks on Jude and the way she talks about her own experience rather than discussing the (fair imo) points she made about the article.

This is a bad look, especially from a *rabbi*. What an embarrassment.

Only for the wonky eyes.

It’s ironic. Black wasn’t a polite word. Now it is. Coloured was; now it’s not. Negro was, then was not. Some rappers use the *actual* N word. It’s societal. PoC is a Jim Crow term now used by PoC. Afrophobia, Negrophobia, all kinda of words in and out all the time. Word-salad.
