this is an absurd approach; no one now has a direct influence on "Syrian government" except Russia&Iran,Russia can't un-root Iran from inside the Syrian state now IF it want to,UAE influence in the past on SF groups who reconciled with regime is finished now,UAE has no leverage

Agree, a little leverage could be find on few minor issues and dossiers, but Syria is & till Assad is in charge will be an Iranian puppet. Do not expect Bashar endorsing the US peace plan, tell Iranians to withdraw, jumping off the Resistance trains or receiving Israelis.

yes won't leave Iran who backed him to a deal with some Gulf country who could turn against him after a year, look at 2008 Summit with France,Turkey and Iran and how 2 years later the 3countries turned against Assad
