    The original claim for confirmed case came from a single local source - with number of casualties unknown at the time. The Coalition's confirmation of civilian harm shows the importance of listening to affected communities - and the value of rigorous assessments by militaries.

    The Coalition has confirmed just one new incident in its latest monthly civilian casualty report - admitting 2 people injured at Rawa, Iraq on September 13th 2017. In total, now estimates that at least 1,257 civilians have been killed in its actions since 2014.

    Airwars remains concerned at deteriorating Coalition transparency. Since December 16th - when stopped saying where or when it bombs - an additional 2,479 air and artillery strikes (7% of war total) have taken place. This is impeding accountability for civilian harm.

    Latest figures declare 250 anti-ISIS air and artillery strikes for March 10th-23rd. Of these, 193 were in Syria (likely at Baghouz) while 57 strikes took place in Iraq - a significant increase on 2 strikes reported last time. Est total since start of war: 34,264 strikes

    More than 500 Russian allegations have now been published on our website the amount of hard work and graphic materials we’ve been through as a team can’t be described in a few words. Hospitals, schools and mosques were leveled to the ground. Civilians paid the price

    Over at releasing the first civilian casualty data from the four-year bombing campaign led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE. More than 17,700 civilians have been killed and injured. Children made up 15% of the 8,838 civilians killed in the air war in Yemen since 2015.
