They can only hit a JSON endpoint in the same DNS zone (eTLD+1) as the sender's email, e.g. if the email is from sender@mail.example.com, it can only hit endpoints on example.com and its subdomains.

The full list of supported AMP components is here: https://amp.dev/documentation/guides-and-tutorials/learn/amp...

Ads in Gmail are not related to your emails: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/6603

Open in what sense? For example, there's no open standard (to the best of my knowledge) for the HTML used in emails right now and different email clients render HTML in emails differently.

On the other hand, the protocol itself is standardized, but AMP is not working on protocol level.

Emails only support a subset of AMP, so iframes and any form of JavaScript (other than the whitelisted AMP components) are not allowed.

What makes you think input won't be heard?

Like OOXML, it's probably mostly the case to woo government to use their proprietary format.

Additionally, I think with AMP, you might be able to get your input heard, but only if you run a mail service with millions of users.

^ Note that this is a google employee

I just disabled Windows Update completely (by disabling the service) after 3 such incidents.

I'm aware it's a security risk, but I also keep nothing of value on that machine nowadays.

She also sits in Alphabet's Board of Directors: https://abc.xyz/investor/other/board.html

IIRC, she's been there since 2012. Her role in Google [Cloud] came much after.

With like 6 different apps, you can.

Regardless of whether you like the keyboard or not (or have no opinion), I strongly recommend you check out their blog: https://ultimatehackingkeyboard.com/blog

They gave a very thorough overview of the (many, many) challenges involved with "kickstarting" a hardware product - and how they overcame them (from issues with banks to FFC and CE certification). It's a great source of knowledge for anyone who considers doing the same.

Laci also did an AMA on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/3tkyme/iama_l%C3%A1sz...

Funny that you would recommend their blog, I was going to do recommend the blog[0] by the people behind keyboard.io[1] for the exact same reason.
