    Unfortunately I think only in Iraq are they prosecuted and it seems that the international community has let us all down in trying to find the missing people. It shows one must not count on the West or international community to defend the weak. Only local people can do it

    A few days ago I met a woman who visited Raqqa during isis control, she said at the Main Street of Raqqa( Talabyad st) Alhusba women arrived and were foreigners holding their AKs on their shoulders, crowds were disappearing in front of them escaping all directions (1)

    So sad. The drivers and fixers who take care of us while in war zones, and go the extra mile to keep us as safe as possible. You never see them on tv. As my great fixer a few days ago said: you should tell the story, not become one. Stay safe guys. <3

    It was a hot summer day, thousands of people crowded into schools, public buildings and unfinished frames of houses. It was such terrible conditions but nobody expected soon coming Genocide of Thanks ,

    Sinjar, July 2, 2014. I often wonder about what happened to the fleeing families we met that day. Weeks later it was overrun by IS. Genocide followed.
