    Muslim analysis of Islamophobia has been completely overtaken by race theory. The discourse from our side is racism, racism, racism as *the* explantation for anti-Muslim hostility. This tunnel vision is going to hurt us in the long run. Racism is only one factor among several.

    In an ideal reality, yes, we would want everyone to critically engage with the Quran, its lessons and stories, and its finer details. But in reality as we know it, it makes little sense. Let people love from the bottom of their hearts, not their minds.

    There is a certain beauty to this particular event. It is the simplicity of imaan which sustains the masses. They do not possess the calibre scholarly intellectuals to argue the minutae of theology, nor the time and desire to do so.
