The Parity full node sometimes falsely reports that it is in sync, despite being a long way behind the chain tip. This potential bug could be exploited by an attacker, in some circumstances, but such an attack is not likely. In general the data integrity of this metric is poor

While the slow initial sync is a potential problem, at least for our system setup, Ethereum has not yet reached a point where Parity cannot catch up, as the sync is faster than the rate of blockchain growth. Based on its current trajectory, the node should catch up in a few days

Our Ethereum Parity full node is still several hundred thousand blocks behind the chain tip, after syncing for 13 days. The machine has the following specifications: * Dual Core 2.3GHz * 14GB RAM * SSD storage * 10 Gb/s internet connection The slow initial sync may be an issue

1/ BitMEX Research’s latest post describes the “anatomy of the next global financial crisis”. In brief, a repeat of 2008 is unlikely, so whenever a global financial crisis strikes, a positive impact on price shouldn't be expected.

11 years later with $87T more debt. Second verse is little bit louder & little bit worse. Except now liquidity pyramid's safe & liquid tip has new neighbor: And 99% cash & 1% can be a very good risk/reward portfolio construction. 🤑
