always had the possible way out of declaring itself a caliphate. This would mean a global split in the jihadist movement.

He changed the wording a little and actually dug out another link to the audio in question, possibly in order to establish plausible deniability in case of being called out. I suspect the same regarding the deletion of his tweets.

Half a year later I find the crucial information that I had given him in a lengthy paper of his. See p. 42, that corresponds to 45 in the PDF, especially footnote 287.

After he had asked me on my source in a since deleted tweet I provided him with a link to the source via DM and knowing how bothering it can be to look for a snippet of information in a lengthy audio I gave him the exact timestamp.

In November 2015 Orton asked about the fate of Nu'mân al-Zaydî in a series of tweets since deleted. I gave him the answer that had been widely ignored by journalists and experts at that time. He had been killed years prior.

Some days ago mentioned something that has been bothering me for some time: the blatant plagiarism of Kyle Orton. Allow me to show a small example of my own.

The latest photo in the series Caravan of the Martyrs shows Abû Hamza al-Badrî who was killed in Salâh ad-Dîn. He belonged to the same tribe as Abû Bakr al-Baghdâdî.

While deals with an intense American bombing campaing, the Tâlibân - upon whose legitimacy most of the non-IS SJs have built their claim - is talking to the US. If the talks actually go through - and I think they will - a number of jihâdis may reconsider their loyalties.

While is suffering on the ground in its last hold in Syria, it may well gain support in its target group - global salafî-jihâdists. While it is making its last stand sympathy for those encircled is rising.

Likely at that time he took up communicating with other leaders again. The last communication that I have no doubts about is from 2007. No idea where, when and how he died. And I suppose others don't have much more but make bold claims about hospitals, specific villages etc.

Concerning the latest debate about Muhammad 'Umar of the Tâlibân: while broad lines like him staying rather low profile and dying in Afghânistân sound correct a trusted source confirmed to me that he entered Pâkistân during his escape and returned to Afghânistân some months later

"After the June 30, 2013 revolution in Egypt, Turkey hosted several Brotherhood meetings that focused on what measures should be taken to oust the elected government of Abdel Fattah al-Sisi." Seriously?

I wholeheartedly agree with this statement and the ensuing prospect on future studies: "This is why country-specific studies on the origins and manifestations of radicalism and terrorism are vital if we are to correctly fathom the phenomenon [...]."

While unintriguing, this is very laudable indeed, as there have been numerous reports brushing over such aspects. For example going on about the low number of completed secondary education with a huge percentage of the sample being too young to have done so.

Their high unemployment rate in comparison to other FF's is rationalized by them being recent graduates (a comparison to unemployment rate would have been interesting).

When dealing with "harder" information, like age, education and employment the report is of far greater value (the self-reported caveat always applies) and shows that the average Saudi guy is more educated than other Saudis and other ISlers.
