You're right. Infighting among people who actually have common ground on protecting children from abuse is something we need to overcome.

The furry community does have issue of real predators & animal abuse in the community and SOME furries sweeping it under the rug. I think it has to do with the immense stigma around the furry fandom (still wrong to cover it up!). But yeah I hate that people hate furries sm.

Every community has its own child protection issues, every community has to take its own responsibility for them, and every community can do better. Our role is to support them in that, rather than allowing those who hate and misunderstand them to barge in and impose solutions.

I agree. I'm part of the furry community myself, I didnt mean to come off as against them. And its true there are issues in every community, predators may specifically choose groups where children frequent (coaching, camp leading, fan groups) that is what I heard at least.

They even seem to have the highest infighting and censorship advocates among themselves as seen with
#ArbysWaifu Makes me feel bad for the decent fans who know that censorship kills art no matter what. - End of conversation

Prime example of this exact phenomenon. The UK, criminalized Loki porn, has the highest child rape rates out of any first world country

Authorities in the UK keep saying they have no data.

I don't understand why people are aggressive to furries? It's very close to the cosplay only it is cosplaying your own character, and is an animal. I guess it is more the NSFW side that even some furries hate. The infighting is all about trying to "save the reputation"
-
I feel like that's where the vast majority of issues come from. At least the infighting and covering things up. Due to the super random stigma that people have against furries. I love fursuits and I wish I had one. Don't see the problem. They're cute:/ ♡

This Former furry community moderator is someone who in-fact believes in Artists/Writing freedom in Furry Fandom. As well has something called a brain. That is lacking in Furry Fandom in ways.

And little boys, and little enby children. How quickly they forget us when the fur community wouldn't be anything with out LGBT. I don't know what the answer is... I've heard that even drawn CP reenforces incorrect cultural assumptions about the acceptability of raping kids.
