I understand that it is beyond the persons control to be attracted who they’re attracted to. And as a professional - I would not treat someone poorly during treatment because of this. But I am still allowed to have a personal opinion about MAPs, and it is disgusting.

You will lose your license if your clients see you publicly calling their problems disgusting and report you.

Good thing I don’t plan on treating people like you

Imagine saying that about me for my skin color or religious beliefs.

Imagine thinking being a different fucking skin color or a different religion being equivalent to thinking about diddling humans who cannot consent to get your rocks off - as a psychologist you have specialties and I don’t want to specialize in something that disgusts me

I see no difference between being attracted to someone through no choice of one’s own and having a specific skin colour through no choice of one’s own. I very much hope, if this is your attitude to unchosen traits you find icky, that you are never allowed to treat anyone.

Likewise I see no difference between calling someone disgusting for being attracted to someone through no choice of their own to calling someone disgusting for having a certain skin colour through no choice of their own.

yawn and being attracted to goats is zoophilia so? attraction is not action, thought is not a crime

To be fair, attraction to minors can be hebephilia and ephebophilia as well, depending on the age of the minor
