Sorry, but I live in the UK and there are major issues with Islam. Obviously vast majority of muslims not bad people but there are several aspects of the faith that cause serious problems of compatibility.

Correct about the abuse of kids in the Catholic Church. The difference is that rape of non-Muslim women is condoned by Islamic texts and was practised by the faith's founder. But no commands to rape, or kill in the Christian texts or practiced by the faith's founder.
Thats right - you can tackle institutional abuse, but you cannot remove those words from the Quran, and all it takes is a relatively few to believe them to make life hell for everyone else.
