    Venezuelans are no Muslims and don't yell "god is great" in arabic 24/7 like Syrians did whenever on camera. Thus not feeding western stereotypes/fears of "dangerous" islamists/jihadists vs "secular" genocidal .

    This is why I would caution my Venezuelan friends against believing that the likes of Trump or Pompeo will ever be their allies. Syrians faced the same dilemma: betrayed by America's left and right, who can never see beyond their domestic squabbles.

    Russian jets are bombing Idlib city for the second time this morning. An earlier strike this AM on the central prison in Idlib led to the escape of dozens of prisoners, some of them allegedly belonging to ISIS & regime forces.

    Maybe this "withdrawl" ends like the last one.. Words only and declaring a "best ever" victory by Trump, Followed by unconvincing actions. And next admin reverses course/prolongs the occupation.
