    “They don’t have much time left to get plans in place.” - It’s been 4+ years since the campaign against began. - It’s been 7yrs since the first foreign fighters arrived in . That was MASSES of time. Wasted.

    BIG news today, as (1) 's military patrolled 's NW "demilitarized zone" & granted full access to airspace. Depending on scope and regularity, could be a big step forward in possibly better ensuring a better semblance of stability in NW .

    Notwithstanding a host of misleading claims, this piece failed entirely to mention the *No.1* reason why hawks sought to retain a small presence in : to convince states to double-down & fill in withdrawing shoes. (And coincidentally, the Euros aren't convinced).

    Leaving 400 troops in Syria is politically palatable, but its utility is far more questionable.

    We really need to be careful with running so quickly with this. Look at the letter. Look at 's (a) words, his (b) annotations, and (c) where he puts them. Then put yourself in 's shoes/mind - does he really mean US troops are staying in ? I'm not so sure.

    Trump vowed to leave Syria in a tweet. Now, with a Sharpie, he agreed to stay.

    This , and the broad-brushstroke discrimination that follows from it is just as likely - or perhaps even more likely - to sustain the threat of extremism than many of the other factors often discussed.

    We are certainly not witnessing the end of , but I’ve got to ask: does praying - as shown here - really symbolize terrorism, or are we also witnessing rife emerging amidst a broader struggle against violent extremism?

    To be honest based on what families are still thinking especially the once who just came out of it is not the end of but it’s just another start because isis mothers and sisters know how to grow their children. …
