Eastern Europe here. I tend to smell these very frequently:
*terre d’hermes
*jpg le male (every gay guy has this frag apparently lol)
*armani acqua di gio (and every straight guy has this frag haha)
What about you guys?
I'm in the middle of nowhere. Where the most popular for guys is their signature Eau de Sweat.
You're made fun of, if anything, for wearing a fragrance.
Errrr, Texas? I think a lot of people might think Texas is just country and people ride horses to get around and such. It's actually very modern in certain areas and has some of the biggest population areas in the US. Born and raised in Texas and I totally don't jive with the whole ranching/farming/cowboy lifestyle. All suburban & city life over here. REMEMBER THE ALAMO! jk
My SO is from Dover Foxcroft. He'd wear my lipstick before he'd wear cologne.
I live in a uni town in Colorado and I don’t think I have ever smelled someone else wearing a fragrance. Not even at the clubs. Everyone is too broke from buying pallets of natty light.
I’ve been to Denver, CO and I barely noticed anyone wearing colognes!
Denver just smells like vehicle emissions and weed now to be completely honest lol.
Boulder? Haha. I recently moved here, and I feel like everyone is more outdoorsy and casual, as opposed to like New York, where everyone is more dressier and put more effort into their appearance.
I live in Fort Collins. I couldn’t stand to live in Boulder.
Eastern Europe too here - can confirm Terre D'hermes and Acuqa di Gio.
Also, Paco Robanne seems to be killing it in this region, as I get to smell Invictus, 1Million or Black XS (or all of them) every time I go out somewhere...
Croatia
Surprisingly, a lot of Bvlgari Man in Black, followed by Cool Water, Sauvage and One Million. I feel like it would be a very close race between these four.
Zero Aventus, Bleu de Chanel, Prada L'Homme or Terre d'Hermes sightings.
As for female fragrances, Chanel Chance Eau Tendre reigns supreme, followed by La Vie Est Belle.
Flyover country in the US
Women: Flowerbomb, La Vie Est Belle, Angel, or DKNY Delicious
Men: I'm not as good at identifying these as women's frags but I rarely smell cologne on the guys here
Axe and old spice body spray. And the typical la male jean paul Gaultier and Versace Eros.
Delaware, USA
Axe body spray, Nivea body spray, Coolwater. Guess the country ;)
Probably Sauvage, which would be understandable as it's the most advertised fragrance, with Johny Depp in bus stops all over the country. (Spain)
I really don't smell many people wearing frags, when I do it's at work and mainly Acqua di Gio from what it seems like.
However gf works with public, she mainly smells Sauvage & Aventus (or smell-a-likes) from what I've been hearing.
Actually have smelled a good bit of Maison Margiela Jazz Club. Very distinctive smell to my nose, unless there is something similar that I don’t know about. Atlanta, GA.
Same, which is probably why I recognize it so quickly. Had a 1ml sample and couldn’t finish it.
man same here my girl and i accidentally got 2 samples of it and i just want to throw it away
Not many people near me wear fragrances. In most cases it's women wearing Bed Bath & Beyond or Victoria's Secret sprays.
The one thing I've noticed on multiple people is Angel, and always in large doses.
That’s weird though. Why would do overdo Angel? It’s such a nice fragrance but one pump is MORE than enough.
I'm in Ohio and the most common thing I smell is people who dump to much patchouli oil on themselves.
Illinois here... Not a ton of guys wear frags but id they do it is usually ADG or Sauvage. As for women, it's mostly generic BBW sprays.
I'm from north western Illinois. Small town of 5500 people. I NEVER have to worry about other guys around here smelling like me.
Yeah I live in Southern Illinois, south of St Louis. About 8,000 people. It seems like most guys don't wear fragrance in these smaller towns.
I work in London (the City) and I smell Aventus EVERYWHERE. BR540 often, also.
Locally we are pretty low key with fragrance but I was in Sydney recently and everyone and their dog was wearing some kind of wretched synthetic oud. I'm trying to work out what it is so I can avoid it like a plague
Came in here to say this and uh... you beat me to it. There needs to be a PSA on the G train ... "Put down the bottle of Santal 33. You are wearing the frag equivalent of saying "I love ADVENTURES!" in your Tinder profile."
Lol yep, I commute on the G every morning. It’s kind of shocking that something that’s somewhat polarizing and not really mass appealing is as popular as it is. To me, it mostly smells like Dill Pickle juice dripped on old dusty books.
I still smell a lot of Acqua did Gio. Ive identified Sauvage and Bleu De Chanel but that that frequently. I smell others but don't know the frag for sure
Axe body spray, fragrances that are reminiscent of ADG during the day and Eros during the night
India
I know a lot of people who own Cool Water, but I don't end up smelling it on them due to its poor performance.
Omg I feel sorry for those noses. I can imagine the lady getting on public transportation and the whole vehicle smells like freaking Angel 🤣🤣🤣
I smell: Viva la Juicy by Juicy Couture Sweet Pea by Bath and Body Works
Men's fragrances are hard to tell, but all smell peppery and "generic" if I had to describe it.
The one I've picked up the most is probably that Versace in the light blueish square bottle
Nah , Eau Frappe what ever the god damned you wanna call it
