I'm new to join the group of passionate fragrances lovers, and I ask for your opinion which fragrance that it is generally available (not rare, out of production, hard to find fragrances, please) has the strongest, nicest smell of roasted coffee beans?
Thank you very much for your insights
This is excellent.
Also great:
Gorilla (Lush) Coffee and Cardamom
Dior Eau Noire
Auphorie Iris Macchiato
I'm almost certainly going to be stoned for saying this, but I think Ralph Lauren Polo Red Extreme is such a lovely coffee scent. Warm and toasty.
I went on a coffee note binge a while back. Most realistic coffee fragrance I've found was Kerosene Follow, which is just pure espresso. A close second in realism and probably my favorite is Sebastiane Espresso Royale, which smells like a coffee shop but with a slightly boozy top note. Bond No. 9 New Haarlem and Ganache Parfums Starfish & Coffee are both excellent mixes of coffee and pancakes or maple syrup and Rochas Man is a nice mild version of New Haarlem that has a suggestion of coffee but isn't super realistic and also has shitty performance.
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned them but Sebasatiane Espresso Royale and Kerosene Follow are pretty much the most authentic roasted coffee bean smells you can get. Smell like opening a new bag of roasted coffee beans.
They're not for everyone though, be sure to sample before you buy!
Do you know if there are any other places that sell Espresso Royale besides the Sebastiane website? Currently OOS on there.
I only know of https://www.parfumaria.com/ which is where I ordered my sample. Ships out of The Netherlands though, could be expensive.
lol noooooooo 160 euro for a 1 euro stock bottle with a sticker saying OFFICE:)that smells like a hybrid prada l,omme and sauvage:)would i pay 160 for either of them with presentaton?hell noooo:)
If you backed it early you could get 2 100ml bottles for 160 euro, which isn't that bad
no mate it isnt..160 euro would get me a lot more then office for men lol.160 euro on something i mitent like is risky..thats the thing about first impressions,u only get one and if i opened post and saw that 1 euro stock bottle and a sticker,i couldnt give a toss what it smelt like imo:)
lol well lets see what i could buy for 160 euro fragrance related.. 5 x 30 mls aventus decants.... parfum de marley layton,,,. aqua di parma essensa... a xerfjoff split... serge lutens chergui.... Boadicea the Victorious glorious..... all niche on my list... and u could buy any designer on market and get change outta 160 euro..
what 3 smilies ?:)the need for u to comment on such trivial things ,makes me feel uncomfortable.
Black Opium, YSL
So New York, Bond no. 9.
Rebelle, Rihanna
Cafe Tuberosa, Atelier Cologne
that’s all I can think of off the top of my head 🙂
You can buy coffee essential oil and dilute it in ethanol. It smells exactly like a cup of coffee.
Montale intense cafe.
It smells like coffee and sweet roses. It took some time to appreciate but now I rather like it, it's cozy.
Containing the infamous dibutyl/diethyl phthalate, a carcinogen and a hormone disruptor, it is out of my list, thank you anyway
Few frangrances still use dangerous chemicals banned in most Europe like phthalates, Montale brand is sadly one of the toxic fews
wait do they use it in all their fragrances? or is it just some? i'm not familiar with the chemical
also to answer your question, follow by kerosene. smells like straight up coffee to me
https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Kerosene/Follow-41476.html
Is that ingrediant a staple of Montale fragrances or just Intense Cafe?
What? What are you basing that information on? You're saying all Montales use carcinogens?
Rochas Man smells exactly like cappuccino.
Would have bought it but all online shops in my area decided to raise it's price by 50% for some reason.
How do you know? I see it on all seller's websites, and their stock is not even limited on them
Auphorie - Iris Macchiato
Zoologist - Civet
Bond no.9 does smell like coffee, but it also smells like maple syrup to me a bit.
New Haarlem, yeah. Probably on the verge of cloying but it's still nice
Haven’t confirmed for myself, but lately been hearing that Follow by Kerosene has the best coffee note.
It's been a long while since I smelled Tom Ford's Cafe Rose but I remember having that 'Whoa! Coffee!' feeling when I got a whiff of it.
One (or some) of the A*Men flankers have some strong coffee notes too, but I wouldn't be able to tell you which ones. Ditto with Bond #9, one day if you go on a sniffing-spree with one of those brands, something might pop up that interests you...
Looking through Fragratica, I have a feeling the one I'm remembering was either New Haarlem or I Love NY For All (the black bottle) - Apparently that's discontinued now and 'New Bond St.' (red cheetah print bottle) is the exact same juice repackaged? I haven't smelled 'New Bond St.' so I don't want to vouch for it 100%.
I'll also throw another vote for Black Opium, a lovely Starbucks caramel vanilla latte kind of scent, and Cacharel's Noa, a floral, musky coffee.
I have a full bottle (5ml) of this and it smells like someone poured coffee and chai tea into one cup. Heavenly. Also, it isn't sweet at all.
Valentino uomo. It isn't the strongest coffee scent but it is a great smelling one.
Club des Hashischins from Alkemia - "A dark intoxication of African Bronze Honey, caramelized charred black oud, blackberry pipe tobacco, leathered labdanum blended with hashish coffee and dawamesk from an original 1844 Club des Hashischins recipe that includes orange peel, cinnamon, clove, cardamon, nutmeg, musk, and kola nuts."
on me in chilly weather, it's a brilliant roasted coffee (a statement i make as a former coffee snob) and - mysteriously - rose. it's special reserve and limited, so hustle but a little goes a long ass way. i have the $30.50 5ml and i expect it to last a long time.
I think it has been discontinued and the longevity was awful, but for me Jo Malone’s Black Vetyver Cafe was the best coffee scent ever.
Just tried Gallagher Carpe Cafe the other day, definitely coffee in that one.
Montale Intense Cafe is a nice coffee scent
Also sampled a middle eastern scent called Al rehab French cofee. Smells like a latte
While I absolutely love this fragrance (currently wearing it), it is an Aventus clone and thus smells nothing like coffee.
