Music is music. A man's behavior is a man's behavior. You are allowed to simultaneously enjoy one and condemn the other. You don't HAVE to separate the artist from the art, but you are absolutely allowed to. You. Have. A. Choice. In. The. Matter.

And I'm severely disheartened by all those who apparently don't realize that, who feel that attacking alleged victims is the only way they can possibly assuage their own personal feelings of guilt. That doesn't subtract any toxic ugliness from the world, it just adds more.

I think in Michael Jackson’s case it’s also a note that he isn’t around anymore. I always look at separating the art from the artist in the way it’s ok to enjoy their previous art. But making and supporting of new art is much closer to the line and kind of a problem.

I hate to speculate - especially since I don't think Jackson's hands are 100% clean But Corey Feldman - the guy whose crusade is to stop Hollywood pedophilia - once said Jackson wasn't that guy. And that Jackson wouldn't even let ppl talk to him about sex

For some, each person is a different case. I still jam to michael Jackson's music yet can't see myself revisiting r Kelly's work.

That makes two of us, Tony. Seriously, I know that it's harder for certain people to separate the art from the artist than it is for others. But I will not be shamed because I happen to like something that someone who turned out to be a bad person was involved with it.

Just realized that I left the "it" in at the end of the sentence because I rewrote that tweet 5 times before posting and forgot to take it out even though it's grammatically incorrect. Ignore that.

For real, FMA: Brotherhood is my favorite anime, and I consider Edward Elric a well-written and compelling protagonist. When I heard about the shit regarding Vic Mignogna, my reaction was, "Sucks, but I still like his performance as Ed, and that shouldn't make me a bad person."

So yeah, I'm not one to judge. At the end of the day, we like what we like, even if bad people are involved with the thing we like. And that's perfectly fine.
