As a follow up, generally in English a possessive doesn't have an apostrophe. Dogs = multiple of dog Dog's = describing something possessed by a single dog Dogs's = describing thigns possessed by multiple dogs.

I don’t have anything to contribute to this good explanation but I did want to mention that when I was thinking about using examples that I was also thinking about dogs
