Today Jeremy Corbyn went to his local mosque for Visit My Mosque Day, and was attacked by a Brexiteer. Rachel Riley tweets that Corbyn deserves to be violently attacked because he is a Nazi. This woman is as dangerous as she is stupid. Nobody should engage with her. Ever.

The context is that Jeremy was attacked today. She is saying if Jeremy doesn’t want eggs thrown at him he should stop being a Nazi. This both implies a) that he’s a Nazi and b) that he deserved the violent assault he received today.

I struggle to reconcile her obvious intellect with her blinkered view on Corbyn and antisemitism. There’s an obvious disconnect and it’s staggering that she hasn’t recognised her biggest cheerleaders are centre/right anti-socialists.

She’s clearly very gifted when it comes to maths, no? In that regard she has a degree of intellect I and most others don’t possess. So misguided politically though. A textbook example of how a little knowledge is more dangerous than no knowledge at all.

Today I unblocked Rachel Riley briefly just to report her and would ask as many people as possible to do the same. Applauding a physical attack on Jeremy Corbyn, a lifelong campaigner for equality, should be enough to get her off twitter-I would hope.

Owen Jones reports J Corbyn was attacked today at the same Mosque where 2 years ago a man drove there hoping to kill him .The Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party, James Cleverly, "liked" Rachel's tweet implying he thought it was ok J Corbyn was assaulted & called a Nazi.
