  1. The situation on Manus is very abnormal. No one is working today, all the cleaners, guards, medical staff, drivers and kitchen staff left work today.

  2. The situation on Manus is very abnormal. No one is working today, all the cleaners, guards, medical staff, drivers and kitchen staff left work today. Only some Australian staff remain in the camps.

  3. It's very important the media & polticians hear Manusian people’s voice. Big companies have made 100s of millions, but never paid local staff fairly & no money to fix a school for local kids or hospital that’s badly in need of supplies. It’s time these companies answer to people.

  4. The local staff wrote a letter to Paladin, asking to be respected and paid fairly. The company did not respond. That’s why local staff are holding a serious protest today. Its time that all of the companies on Manus respect people’s rights.

  5. The Paladin staff are protesting in Manus right now. This company has made $423m while paying local staff only $450 per month.People are very angry at this company and want to be respected. The big companies made the refugees and locals victims while they have made so much money.

"Our time, our lives, have been exchanged for political capital." Refugees on Manus Island have a powerful message for the world. , you have dumped us on with no crime.

  10. Manusian people and refugees are victims of Paladin & other companies on Manus. Those companies got so much money but put it in their pocket. Since the scandal broke the local people have become v angry at Paladin. They feel this company used them but did not give them fair pay.

  11. The only reason people are ill on Manus & Nauru is that they’ve been kept in an indefinite prison camp, six years so far, and nothing else. Transferring them to Christams island prison camps does't cure them, just worsen it.Stop carrying our broken bodies from one cage to another.

  12. Labor is calling Auditor_General to launch an urgent review of the $423 millions contract awarded to Paladin. The question is why they’re not calling for an investigation of all the contracts and only Paladin? Labor is not any less guilty in creating this mess.

  14. Transfering sick people from Manus &Nauru prison camps to Christmas Island prison camp is clear violation of human rights. Keeping people in indefinite detention for years has made these people sick and transfering them to another prison camp certainly does not solve the problem.

  15. IHMS is at the heart of this corrupt system. I urge independent media in Australia to investigate this company as a priority. Who is supporting this company to win detention contracts all the time?

    Undo
  16. After what I have witnessed as a prisoner on Manus I am convinced that investigating IHMS will bring down this govt and many politicians will go to jail as a result. This company is criminal and steals a massive amount of money, but it hides itself behind a moral veneer.

  17. IHMS is part of a system that always delays medical treatment and plays with sick refugees to make a massive amount of money. They need people to be sick at all times. Investigating IHMS and their corrupt contract should be a priority.

    Undo
  18. IHMS is the dirtiest company in the detention industry and must be investigated.Contract with IHMS is more scandalous than the small contract with Paladin. They have made a maasive amount of money for simply providing refugees with painkillers. IHMS are a totally corrupt company.

Why the Australians are only talking about Paladin now and the $423 million as loss, while more than $9 billion have been spent here in the past six years, merely on torturing and locking up refugees. Why don’t you ask them about other companies such as IHMS?
