    🇮🇶 Several Da’ish guesthouses were destroyed in the Abu Saida area in central Diyala province by a joint op by ’s Army (5th Div) and PMUs (4th and 23rd Bdes). Sleeper cells in Diyala have been causing problems for a while & a focused push is needed to eliminate the threat.

    Exactly. Holding the Iraqi state to ransom by constantly dangling the threat of terrorism over Baghdad’s head won’t work and if the last few years are anything to go by, this strategy only ends in Sunni cities being reduced to rubble by Da’ish car bombs and Coalition airstrikes.
