Two countries take responsibility out of the 41 countries represented by the detainees. No wealthy western country willing to deal with the extremists they raised and often allowed to leave despite knowledge of intent

I agree, Seth. However, Iraq is a big step forward because a large number of the foreign ISIS fighters are Iraqi nationals. It’s one of the things we don’t like to admit, but the majority of the ISIS fighters in Syria and Iraq were from those countries.
-
ISIS members should face trials in Syria and Iraq where they have committed their crimes anyway.
-
The bigger question is about their families. There are so many women and children that are in these camps. Are they to stay in these camps indefinitely? Turkey is already threatening to launch a new military operation east of the Euphrates.
-
The family members should be sent back to the countries they came from - after the trial.
-
The problem is that these countries don’t want them back.
-
that is a real problem - even USA (Trump demanded Europe to take them back) is refusing to take them...

Is Tunisia really willing? A jihadi I’ve followed since 2014 has been in an SDF prison since he was caught trying to cross to Turkey a year and a half ago. Tunisian gov tells his family there’s nothing they can do to repatriate him.
-
I’m not entirely sure. Could just be rhetoric. Only countries that have made efforts to repatriate ISIS fighters are Iraq and Russia at this juncture
-
Also look forward to an eventual stream of captured, regretful HTS wife videos. But since they have an exponentially easier time slipping into Turkey and back to where they came from, maybe that’ll never happen. Which is a problem.
-
Apparently, they are trying to rebrand themselves as 'moderates'
-
Totally. As one told me, “you Americans also forbid smoking in parks in New York City. There is no difference!”
-
Hahaha I would love to interview that person
-
Well, he’s currently living in EU Cypress so shouldn’t be too hard to find him (also a problem)
-
I am sure he will deny ever being a member

Yes, they are. Did they agree?

I think Iraq might be willing to take back, prosecute and possibly execute under Iraqi law...
