Some people are asking who he is. Look at his timeline here. He's sending out this nonsense to a whole bunch of people. https://twitter.com/MLewisLawyer/with_replies …

Incidentally: the 'crime' all these people have committed? They retweeted this article of mine, which details the harassment of Oberman and Riley towards a 16-year-old child, and their slandering of her father too. That's it. Nothing else at all.https://medium.com/@shaunjlawson/beneath-contempt-how-tracy-ann-oberman-and-rachel-riley-harassed-dogpiled-and-slandered-a-22663fe709e …

The article is almost solely based on Oberman and Riley's own tweets, in which they incriminated themselves. There is nothing libellous in it whatsoever. Oberman and Riley both know this - so they and their lawyer are trying to provoke you. Don't give them the satisfaction.

Do, please, feel free to seek independent legal advice - for reassurance if nothing else. But believe me, this is nonsense - and he won't be able to get a Norwich Pharmacal Order. That's just another baseless threat. So as Nick Ross once said: don't have nightmares! Sleep well.

One other thing. What Lewis is doing is what disreputable lawyers do when they're fishing. They're trying to lure you into a trap. Don't fall for it; do NOT respond and absolutely do NOT email him.

I've looked. Is it common practice to announce legal action via Twitter? I'd have thought that it would be frowned upon by the legal community, whatever the politics. Please let me know, if you can. Don't make it your priority though, you're doing a great job.
-
It's certainly not common practice in any way. It's highly irregular, completely meaningless, and the Law Society will not take kindly to it. Neither will the Bar Council.
-
He may not be terribly worried about that as he has already been fined once by he SRA for abusive tweets. But shows the appalling lack of judgement on the part of TAO and RR to have associated with him in this stunt.

Who is he? Who/What's he threatening?

Yeah, checked him out. What a nasty piece of work he is!
-
I'm pretty sure he is the same Mark Lewis who used to be married to Caroline Feraday. Side note: Her father, Alan has been accused of fabricating evidence at the Lockerbie trial.

Block him, those he associates with & the Gnasher/LAAS lot in their entirety. They’re all nasty pieces of work and by blocking them you won’t run into any trouble whatsoever.
-
Nice one mate. They’re looking for a response from us and will then aim to scare and threaten us as he is apparently doing now. It’s why I’ve got LAAS, Gnasher, their associated accounts & individuals like Riley & Oberman blocked. They aren’t worth any of our time or attention.
-
It’s completely ridiculous :(
-
The absolute state of politics and the tactics people will go to, to be one better up than someone else, with the moral high ground. I used to reply to such individuals but when I originally got dogpiled, I realised they want us shouting back. Vile people man.
-
It’s ironic that they’re the ones claiming to oppose hate and bullying.
-
Btw are there any others we should block?
-
There’s plenty, I would personally say, but if you’ve got the main individuals & accounts then you’d be fine. I just went further so that I never saw any of them ever popping up on my timeline or trying to dogpile me again.
