What was the atmosphere like on set?

It was great coming back. It was for me a new and wonderful feeling to be familiar on a set on the first day, to have already built great relationships with all my co-stars and to feel really comfortable with them — not just like awkward and getting to know each other. But it's not just the actors, obviously the director too, and the entire crew. And then, to have this infusion of energy of these wonderful new actors too, obviously Jude and Johnny, they were all just so great and just made it more fun.

They give us a set that's like no other set in the world. It looks beautiful, and you can see, in this case, like Paris as far as the eye can see they build these sets, it's not all green screens.

Everything is so detailed and practical and it makes it really easy to improvise with the set. We think of improvisation as playing with – throwing away the script and making up new lines – but you can also really improvise in your environment, particularly in a magical world, like, "Why don't I flick my wand and have that door open" or like, you know, "Why can't ... someone is chasing me, I could open that bakery drawer and have the flour go everywhere and distract somebody" or, you know, you can always be inspired by what's around you in a set this carefully built. And we have, you know ... it often doesn't feel like work because it's so much fun to play within that world.

There's so many great terms from that time and some of them we've seen in Fantastic Beasts. So, like, there's two ways to say "I think you're great" that I really enjoy. One is "You're the cat's pajamas," another is "You're the bee's knees."
