    Today my friend Reem al-Nasser, head of a civil organization called 'Citizens for Development' was violently assaulted by members in , who broke into her home in the city. Reem was one of few who did all what they could for Raqqa. This is a militias doing.

    This is the worst conflict I have ever seen. It was a peaceful uprising that was violently smashed, and the words are on everyone's lips here in Syria. Why did everyone abandon us? I will feel that we have failed, if we do not face our fear and tell the world what has happened.

    51 civilians who fled the battle for the last ISIS village in eastern Syria have now died from lack of food, water & medical care in Al-Hol camp, according to International Rescue Committee. Most of them are children.

    German authorities has arrested two former Syrian intelligence officers today who are involved in torturing Syrian demonstrators. One of them is Anwar Reslan, who joined the Syrian opposition coalition and was present in Geneva talks.

    Conditions in al-Hol camp in Syria, where tens of 1,000s who fled ISIS areas have been sent, is by far the worst I've seen. When I was there on Friday ppl were without tents in the rain. With not enough latrines, children were defecating in the open (1)
