    Recently we started to hear names of "special groups" within ISIS in Iraq & Syria for the first time. Not all these groups were known to locals, and ISIS trained them to operate as special forces or for special functions. A hitherto unknown example:

    Just back from Deir ez-Zor, where thousands are fleeing the last remnants of the Isis caliphate. Over two days, we saw nearly 2,000 people leaving. They were in an awful condition, many had not eaten for days.
