IMHO Kurdish-Damascus reunification doesnt really clash with Gabbard's general approach. The Kurds have avoided any major confrontation with Syrian gov during the war. They dont want US gone but were already discussing reunification months before Trump ordered pullout.
Reunification isn't the major sticking point. Gabbard has pushed for a quick US troop pullout. Kurds are in Washington lobbying for a slow US withdrawal.
