Ofc the meeting has been set up by the right of the party, so every single affiliated society gets to make a statement about why their power shouldn't be diluted (5 statements), then we can hear 2 in support of more democracy, then a vote. Hope the membership go the right way!

Even those in support of delegate structure commenting on 'how badly the CLP has been run', often it seems with the intention of keeping new members and ideas locked out.

A woman stands up and says she doesn't usually speak, but had to speak up today to argue for her vote - "don't be afraid of democracy today, support votes for all members!"

Serious question...could this mean the end for Chukka Umunna?
-
If it does it will be the end of Labour.
-
Chuka's Blair-funded 'Remain' operation means he'll split and join ToryAnna or he'll stay and try to hinder the coming Corbyn-led Goverment
-
Very sadly there won't be a Labour government not with JC at the helm
-
That's the spirit! And you're not at all sad!
-
And if we all backed Corbyn, he’d suddenly stop being an out of date white man who hasn’t changed his mind on anything since about 1973?

Look forward to seeing you all door knocking in the Thortom by-elections
-
Maybe you should concentrate on not carrying out Tory cuts

Ppl seem to be saying Chuka will split. If this happens elsewhere and all the MPs that Jeremy Corbyn supporters don't like leave and then stand for "Real Labour" wouldn't that split the
#Labour vote so it couldn't win another election under FPTP? -
That’s the most likely outcome. But what choice do MPs like Chuka Umunna have, they won’t disappear, & neither will the voters who they represent.
-
The sooner people like Chuka abandon the
@PeoplesMomentum party, the better it will be for democracy. Will be great for voters to have real choice. And we’ll see just how ‘popular’ the Jezuits really are. - 1 more reply
