It's a very exciting time for the Amorous team as we are exiting the alpha stage and getting a full release on Steam!
Click here for the Trailer! As of Febuary I would like to retire the
Amorous Patreon as outside of some small additional content for our long-term fans (One additional date path for each character, wrapping up their story arcs), we should no longer need funding after release. It's crazy to think that the game has been in and out of production for 3 years. The experience has taught me a lot in terms of directing, scope, staffing and financing, as I originally started the project just as a writer and animator.
I really do want to take a serious stance on game development, I love working on games, even when they become difficult. I plan to completely revamp Patreon next month and officially announce the 3D project I have been working on in the background for the last couple of years, along with other collaborators that I've grown to trust and synergize with that will be staying on for the project. Finding reliable programmers has been an incredible hurdle and I hope with a promising enough proof of concept, that we can amass enough funds to bring on a professional that can work in a part-time fashion. Currently, we can only afford to have our Amorous programmer working a couple of shifts a month, which is contributing to the pace of our progress. Both me and Kabier are willing to work at a loss in order to ensure we can finance qualified, reliable coders. I'll be rolling out forms to apply when the new project is formerly announced.
I encourage any Amorous fans to check out the Patreon next month and see if the change in direction is something you are willing to continue to support. I'm confident that the game we have been working on out of pocket is enticing in it's own ways to long-term fans that you may be interested in seeing it made. There will be a buffer into March where any funding we receive during this transition will continue to finance Amorous until all 4th dates are done.
I want to thank everyone who has supported Amorous either financially, or just simply word of mouth over the years. You are making the long-term goal of being a serious furry game developer a milestone I can still continue to take strides towards. It is the dream to be a grizzled grey muzzle furry making top quality games, ranging from SFW to NSFW with a bustling, productive team.
