11- I think the chances of any political solution in Syria with Macron in power are close to 0%. His immaturity in foreign politics is staggering. Today I lost any hope that he may reform his stand, which mean Syrians will continue to suffer until he leaves his position.

10- That's a very harsh statement, one of Damascus biggest problems with France, is Macrons view of the opposition as an innocent side, while everyone knows, very well, that renaming opposition on the ground are 90% radicals who committed war crimes even against each other.

5- "French policies are inspired by a dark legacy of colonialism and enslaving peoples ... Macron’s talk of the political process is merely an attempt to wash France’s hands clean of the blood that had been shed in Syria due to his country’s destructive policies."

4-An official in Damascus responded by telling SANA the following: "The statements made by French President Emmanuel Macron today confirm the continuation of the failed policies adopted by the consecutive French government regarding Syria,"

3-Apparently, Damascus today expressed this anger for the first time. Macron was today in Egypt, and as I said, Damascus hoped that Sisi could talk some sense into his head. Yet, he attacked Damascus with what can be described as 2011 mentality.

2-See, Damascus is not angry because France is not approaching it, or because it is opposing it. Damascus, just like Moscow, is angry because it knows that Paris could play a very very positive role that may end this war. Yet Macron is adopting policies that failed 8years ago.

1-I think that many of you have noticed that I talked about France's role in Syria many, many times in the last two months. The reason for this is because I know that Damascus is angred with Macron's policy on Syria.
