I dont post like this much. But I have to speak up a bit. I am WAY uncomfortable with conventions allowing people like Growly into places where now children frequent. You can look Growly up on the sex offender registry. Lewd and Lascivious acts with a minor 10 years younger.
What that means is he was present while someone was engaged sexually with the minor, but more than likely he publicly flaunted genitalia with a minor present. Worse yet he wants to run a convention. Please consider not dealing or attending or supporting Califur if he is on staff
I REALLY hate to be vocal about it. But I have a child and she comes to conventions with me. People on the sex offender registry should be unwelcome at conventions, period. This doesnt seem like a controversial opinion.
I understand people make mistakes, but unfortunately for you, you made a very serious one and you must suffer the consequences. They're not in jail, so they get off in that regard. At least keep them out of public spaces where kids are.

Not a bad idea, honestly a lot of cons should have a no sex offenders policy. Take this for what you will, but I've been told the police are aware of growly being at cons & it's considered in his rights :/
I'm all for banning people like Growly but the sex offender registry includes a lot of people on there for ridiculous shit (in california you can be on it for life for indecent exposure) and it's honestly a medieval institution that needs to go away
That's pretty much every state as well. Then there have been cases of kids under 18 getting marked too. Sadly cons either have to ban them all or not ban them at all.
