    If Washington DC was always bad in this regard, it’s gotten many times worse since June 2017. And it’ll take a few years to realize how bad it’s gotten. (Not talking about the obvious recipients of Gulf money, but the more senior ones who get the funds but seem independent.)

    I wonder if this new awakening re FARA registration will ever reach to some of Washington’s think tanks’ lobbying by any other name:

    Much like when some cast doubt on Assad’s chemical weapon attacks because it made no sense that he’d do it (a week after Trump announced he’d leave Syria), some are questioning whether it was indeed ISIS that did the Manbij attack (a month after Trump announced withdrawal).
