If they are wrong, they will be corrected regardless of who they are. Asking others to be your personal army when you are not prepared to do anything yourself is hypocritical.
I’m not a student at Oxford nor do I live there. I also don’t have experience in organising protests. Had this event been held at my uni I would have pushed for the labour club (of which I am an active member) to protest.
I don’t not expect a ‘personal army’ I do expect that groups who protest racist speakers at the Oxford Union to protest *all* racist speakers. I expect people who protest racism to protest all racism including that against the Jews. I go to antiracist protests btw
Your idea that if they (I’m assuming you mean Mohamed) is wrong they’ll be corrected. He was not. He claimed that you can’t say anything about the Jews without being called antisemitic. The Oxford Union tweeted this out without condemning it or criticising it
He has previously called Jews ‘hooked nosed’ claimed that we are all obsessed with money, control the world and has said he was proud to be called an antisemite. Yet he was still platformed with no protests. We’ve seen where this hate can lead. It is simply unacceptable
Non of the 16 student groups (all experienced in protesting) protested. Jewish students and the JSOC raised concerns but where ignored. It is not the fault of the Jewish students it is the fault of the anti racist groups. You are really a shit antifacist group btw
