    Read: American banker George Saghir is angry he can't exploit post-war Syria because they keep sanctioning everything and everyone he tries to get involved with.

    Opposition will of course shift blame from the sanctions & point fingers to the Govt (mafia is term often used). On close examination, there is no doubt as to when these shortages became as acute - it was almost immediately after Nov 20th US Treasury directive was issued
